A CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid Awareness Programme, along with a Free Blood Grouping Programme, was successfully organized for the students of Bapatla Pharmacy College. The programme was conducted in collaboration with AIDO – DPDPD Private Limited and the Indian Red Cross Society, Bapatla Branch. Dande Yagna Narayana, MD & CEO, DPDPD Pvt. Ltd., and P. Srimannarayana, Youth Red Cross Coordinator, attended the programme as the chief guests. Dr. Kurapati Srikant, MBBS, MD (General Medicine), participated in the programme and educated the students on essential CPR and first-aid techniques required to save lives during emergency situations. He explained the importance of responding immediately in critical situations such as sudden cardiac arrest, loss of consciousness, accidents, and injuries. The students were given a practical demonstration on the correct procedure for performing CPR, providing first aid during emergencies, and the precautions to be taken until professional medical assistance reaches the victim. He conveyed the important message that “Timely first aid can save a life.” As part of the programme, a Free Blood Grouping Programme was also conducted by AIDO – DPDPD Private Limited for the students. Several students participated in the programme and had their blood groups identified and recorded. On this occasion, Bapatla Education Society President Sri M. Srinivasa Rao, Secretary Sri M. Nageswara Rao, and the members of the Executive Committee congratulated and appreciated the organizers for conducting such a useful programme. The organizers emphasized that creating awareness among students about first aid, CPR, and other life-saving skills is extremely important. They stated that the primary objective of such programmes is to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to respond boldly, promptly, and effectively during emergency situations.
